Flute Mode - Flute Quintet (2006) - This is the first composition in a series that I am working on for flute ensemble. There is a gentle modal 'glow' to this work; it is somewhat understated, flowing, and affectionate.

Walk Alone (1998) was one of my earliest compositions for piano. It is a simple, yet sad work, that is a reflection of my personal difficulties during that period of time.

Happy Piece #2 – A Little Less Than Happy (1998) is from a collection of three piano pieces. It is a polytonal work in which the left and right hands play chords in contrasting keys. Like Walk Alone , it is relatively easy to play and may be of interest to students. (MP3 sample)

The Scales (1999) – is one of a set of two part inventions. This short piece has a Bartok flavour (mixed with a little J. S. Bach for good measure) and is a good study piece.
