Inspired while the composer was vacuuming his house.
Inspiration is a curious thing
One never knows when or why it comes
But for those of us who are familiar with its presence
The return of inspiration is as certain as the tide
Like an occasional and unpredictable dinner guest that is sometimes welcome
And sometimes not
Inspiration cannot be bought, taught, bargained or reasoned with
And its timing is rarely convenient
For some, inspiration may be a long forgotten visitor
While others may only see a cold and vacant chair in front of them
Sometimes the most precious and valuable of things hide in plain sight
And are obscured by a thick fog that we slowly build around ourselves year after year.
If you look for inspiration you will not find it
Because it is everywhere
Even in the fog and the clouds
You just have to open the door and stop looking
