Chris and I 'needed' to know which ecozones*** we were passing through: Montane Cordillera (Kelowna, Prince George, Clearwater BC), Prairie (Leduc AB), Taiga Plains (Fort Nelson BC), Taiga Cordillera (Whitehorse YK), Boreal Cordillera (Dawson City YK), Taiga Plain (Eagle Plains YK), Southern Arctic (Inuvik & Tuktoyaktuk NWT), and Pacific Maritime (Stewart BC). ***Climate ecozones are large areas of the Earth's surface with similar and characteristic climate patterns, which, in turn, influence the region's geology, soil, landforms, vegetation, wildlife, and human activities.
